- Victim Advocate/Intake Coordinator
Aly joined the Kids’ FIRST team as an Intake Specialist in August of 2017. She completed volunteer Victim Advocate training in October of 2014 and continued on as an intern. Aly implemented her collegiate senior project at Kids’ FIRST, providing an introductory LGBTQIA+ training for staff and volunteers in addition to creating LGBTQIA+ resources at the intersection with child sexual abuse.
As an Intake Specialist, Aly supports families through outreach, advocacy, and clerical organization. She relies on an intersectional approach to her advocacy to ensure that the needs of Kids’ FIRST families are met. In addition to her experience at Kids’ FIRST, Aly has participated in internships with HIV Alliance, CASA, and North Eugene High School. She previously served as a Program Assistant for one year at the LGBT Education and Support Services at the University of Oregon’s Office of the Dean of Students.
Although she is originally from California, Aly feels truly at home in the Pacific Northwest. She attended the University of Oregon and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Family and Human Services with a minor in Nonprofit Administration in June 2017.
