The Center provides video-recorded forensic interviews of children who are victims of, or witnesses, to crime. These interviews are conducted by trained interviewers who have specialized education in child development and unique interviewing techniques regarding children. When the child is interviewed Law Enforcement and/or Child Welfare are present to hear the information, dramatically reducing the likelihood that the child will need to be re-interviewed for the purposes of investigation.
Forensic medical examinations of children are conducted at the Center to assess child abuse for medical and legal follow-up. This provides children the opportunity to be seen by medical professionals in a private and child-friendly setting.
