Consider this your invitation to the golf event unlike any other. Don’t call it a tournament. This day-long marathon takes oomph as you putt, chip, and drive your way through 100 holes. Tee off at dawn and settle in for the time of your life. Because really, is there a better way to spend your weekend than golfing sun-up to sun-down?

The sixth annual 1 Day 100 Holes Charity Golf Marathon is presented by Feynman Group to help raise funds for the Kids’ FIRST Center of Lane County. Kids’ FIRST mission is to provide intervention and advocacy for children who are victims of, or witnesses to, crime. The purpose of a child abuse intervention center like Kids’ FIRST is to provide a central location for a multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach to child abuse investigations, which eliminates the need for a child to be repeatedly interviewed about abuse by each individual agency. The Center provides regional services to Coos, Douglas and Lane County at no charge, and is funded solely by grants and private donations. And while not everyone can work directly with the kids, dusting off your clubs and hitting the green is a great way to support the organization.

Throughout the event, golfers are treated to their own cart and four full meals plus snacks, drinks, and massages along the way. Don’t forget gifts and swag too! Prizes have included: Eugene Emeralds Baseball – 2016 Season Luxury Suite (20 tickets, food and soda), a $1,000 gift card for Fiddler’s Green and much much more. For the more competitive among us, take a swing at the Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and other prestigious titles for the chance to win glory, trophies, and of course more prizes! After you sink that 100th cup, join the rest of the crew in the clubhouse for a well-deserved dinner and awards ceremony honoring all of the day’s participants.

So do you have the spirit to go all 100 or will you stick to putt-putt?
